Lipoabdominoplasty

A comprehensive procedure that combines body contouring definition with abdominal wall reconstruction. Designed to remove excess skin, repair the muscles, and restore firmness to your silhouette.

Firmness and Structure

Reclaiming Your Center and Your Confidence

The body changes with life. Factors like motherhood or weight fluctuations can leave marks on the abdomen (sagging or muscle separation) that cannot be corrected with exercise alone. Lipoabdominoplasty is both a reconstructive and aesthetic surgery: we don’t just remove excess skin, we perform an internal muscle “plication” (tightening) to restore your structural support. We add liposuction to define the waist, achieving a result that makes you feel supported, firm, and harmonious.

How is the procedure performed?

We evaluate the degree of skin laxity and whether diastasis (separation of the abdominal muscles) exists to plan the necessary correction.

We begin with liposuction in areas such as the waist and back to mold the contour before working on the frontal abdomen.

We perform the plication (tightening) of the rectus abdominis muscles. This acts as a permanent “internal corset” that restores tension and flattens the abdominal wall.

We carefully remove the excess skin and reposition the navel so that it looks natural. We suture using a high-precision technique so that the scar is as aesthetic and low as possible (hidden by underwear).

Recommendations for Your Well-being

Before surgery:

Complete laboratory tests and pre-anesthetic evaluation.

Keep the skin of the abdomen well-hydrated in the weeks leading up to the procedure.

It is crucial not to smoke for at least 3 to 4 weeks beforehand, as tobacco severely affects healing in this specific procedure.

After surgery:

Walk slightly hunched over during the first few days to avoid excessive tension on the wound.

Indispensable 24 hours a day during the first month to protect the muscle repair and reduce inflammation.

Temporary drains may be left in place to prevent fluid accumulation; we will teach you how to care for them until they are removed (a few days later).

Avoid lifting weights or making abdominal efforts during the first 6 to 8 weeks to protect the muscle tightening.
